The upcoming Board of Education elections promise to be exciting to say the least:
From budgeting woes, overcrowding and rezoning to funding cuts, contract disputes and salary squabbles, this has been a tremendously tough past year for the District. Three seats are up for election with two incumbents – Andrea Wren-Hardin  and Sandra Kassiem – and three newcomers – Marion Cutler, William Gaudelli and James LoStuto – campaigning. School elections are Wednesday, April 27.
We’re lucky to live in two towns that have so many people willing to volunteer their time, effort and expertise to make this a better place to live. Patch looks forward to getting to know all the candidates, their views and thoughts on just what they intend to bring to the Board!
Richard Laine announced Monday night that he will NOT seek another term on the Board of Education. We thank him for his service to the community.
(On a another note, I’d also like to extend sympathy to the Gaudelli family for the loss of their beloved and magestically beautiful Boxer, Kalli, who passed away this week. She was a wonderful companion to the many kids who shared their morning walk with her each day and will be very missed!)
And finally, the Lopez family reports that one of their two friendly ferrets went missing last night on Courter Avenue. Ferrets spend 14–18 hours a day asleep and are most active around the hours of dawn and dusk. If you see Fiasco, please email drcheryl74@gmail.com or call Cheryl or Charlie at 973-378-9218. They are worried about him and very much want to get him back home!
