The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School has announced its much anticipated slate of Summer Children’s Program.

The classes run in two sessions: June 25 to July 6; and July 9 to July 20. You can send your child for an entire day of five classes (including lunch) from 8:45 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. or pick and choose classes at various times of day. Many of the classes in the second session are repeats of classes in the first session. The program is open to children entering grades 1 through 12, but children must be 6 years old by October 31, 2012 to register. Limited scholarships are available on a needs basis.

Once again, creative and varied classes such as auditioning for musicals, ceramics, computer, chess, clay design, cartooning, mythology, basketball, lacrosse, gymnastics, and track & field — among many others — will be offered.
